Recipe Wednesday

Snicker Doodle Cookies

Two of my sweet college friends are tying the knot this weekend! Instead of having cake, they picked a few friends to make some cookies for a cookie bar. I love to bake, so I was excited to get to baking. I chose to make snicker doodle cookies and they turned out amazing. I needed to share!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 – 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
For rolling:
3 Tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon

** I had some trouble finding cream of tartar, I found mine in the spice area in Walmart! **

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Second, cream together your sugar and butter. Then add the eggs and blend well.

Third, in a separate bowl mix the baking soda, flour, salt and cream of tartar.

Fourth, slowly mix that bowl into the sugar mixture until completely mixed.

Fifth, take the cookie dough and roll into one inch balls.
Sixth, mix together the sugar/cinnamon mix and roll balls in said mix.

Seventh, place on sprayed cookie sheet and leave in oven for 8-10 minutes.
Eighth, place the baked cookies on a cooling rack.

 And there ya go!
This recipe made me about 4.5 dozen cookies! So if you are wanting to make less, obviously make the recipe a little smaller.

Enjoy!!
