Life Lately

As you can see, it's been months since I have posted in this blog. The last few months I have finished student teaching, graduated, and started my first "big girl job". I am excited to finally start up this blog again after all the craziness that was my last the past couple of months! The first thing that I want to share is all about my job!

Have you heard of The Impeccable Pig? If you haven't, you're in luck. It's of wonderful boutique that started out of Dallas. We have several locations in Texas, as well as North Carolina and (opening soon!) in Altanta and Raleigh!

What do I do exactly? I am the online store manager and I am loving every second of it! Getting to work in fashion at the headquarters of a company has always been my dream. We have the cutest clothes at great prices! Go ahead and check it out (here)! Here are a few things we have coming out for the spring that are my absolute favorites!

I spent this weekend in....

I was lucky enough to visit my brother in LA! Both my mom and I were able to go and surprise him for a late birthday present/early early birthday present for me! He was so surprised and I was thrilled to see where he goes to school and get to visit with the friends I have heard so much about!

Here are a few shots from the weekend!

It was a wonderful weekend spent with two people that I really love.
What did you do this weekend?

Two Important W's

Weddings and Winners!

Last weekend one of my greatest college friends (and roommate) got married! I was so excited to see everyone that I have missed since graduating in May. But more importantly, I was excited to see the beautiful bride and her new husband! The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Her and I always talked about our dream weddings for the last three years of college, and it was amazing to see her big day come to life! I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I was too busy dancing and enjoying the new marriage of my two dear friends!

Proverbs

A few weeks ago I started reading a blog called She Reads Truth, as you can remember me mentioning them in this post (here). It is a blog dedicated to bible studies and bringing other Christian women together. They are currently doing a study over Proverbs, and let me tell you that it absolutely blowing my mind. I have always loved Proverbs, but have never taken the time to go through chapter by chapter, word by word and truly study it. Let me tell you guys, there is so much truth in it. I have only gotten to chapter 8, while all of the other girls are on chapter 22, but I have already seen so much of what the Lord calls us to do and felt the need to share!

In the small amount of time I have spent on this study thus far, the Lord has been changing my heart and showing me what I truly need to be longing for; Him.

He calls us to protect our hearts from anything that will lead us astray from Him and His path.
He calls us to grow in wisdom of Him and His word.
He calls us to fear Him.
He calls us to surrender.

"...blessed are those who keep my ways. Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it. Blessed is the man who listens to me watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For whoever finds me find life and receives favor from the Lord."
-Proverbs 8:32-35

God is GOOD, y'all. So so good.

Golfing, good food and great lookin men

This weekend was wonderful. Both my brother and my boy came into town. I hadn't seen either of them in weeks...so I was a happy camper! We went golfing, shopping (and lots of it!), ate some great food, and spent a lot of good quality time together. I am so lucky to have such wonderful men in my life.

(brother, papa, and boy)
I know, they're a bunch of studs.

Neon, I love you so much

So I have this new thing for bright colors. I have been buying bright colored jeans, shorts, shirts...I just can't get enough. This weekend I am in Austin visiting my boy and some of my friends from college. I feel very lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life. Today I was able to catch up with some friends, and then tonight my boy and I were lucky enough to go see Les Mis (pictures tomorrow). But here are some from today!

Also, two other quick things:
1. I am pale (as you already know), but this neon pink actually makes me look like I have some color. Looks like I'll be buying more things in this shade of pink!
2. My friend, Z (pictured below) is wicked awesome, and a super talented writer. Check out his blog here! You won't be sorry.
